Representatives of the UN and UNICEF attended the final psychological training of the project

More than 70,000 children are studying, filling educational gaps and receiving psychological support in a joint project of UNICEF and the Association for Innovative and Digital Education.
During the year, psychosocial support was provided to students of vocational and technical (vocational) education institutions and students of professional pre-higher education institutions, their parents and educators in seven regions of Ukraine.
During the 12 months of the project, the following was implemented:

✅ - training of selected project specialists (trainers, psychologists, supervisors) - 6 three-day training sessions for 56 project psychologists,

✅ - "I support my friends" trainings on psychosocial assistance for students of secondary education - 8,000 trainings for 30,000 participants,

✅ - "Parenting without stress" trainings on positive parenting for parents of students of vocational education and training - 100 trainings for 2000 people,
✅ - advanced training course "Violence prevention and development of survival skills and stress resistance of participants in the educational process" for psychologists, social pedagogues and methodologists on improving well-being, ability to overcome difficulties and recovery - 5 sessions of 8 trainings (2 months each session) for 700 people,  

✅ - supervisions as part of the professional development course for psychologists - 350 supervisions.

On February 6, 2025, the final training on psychosocial support for teenagers "Support your friends" took place at the Digital Educational Center (DLC №2) in the Richelieu Lyceum of Odesa. This is the final stage of a large annual program of training students of vocational technical education in the skills of psycho-emotional support according to the principle of "peer to peer".

Distinguished guests were present at the event: Najat Maalla Mjit - special representative of the UN Secretary General on violence against children; Munir Mamedzadeh - UNICEF Representative to Ukraine; Tea Machaidze - UN child protection specialist; Ritis Paulauskas - Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the UN;

Reshma Agarval and Anatoly Ignatovych - representatives of the Odesa office of UNICEF;

Tetyana Rjdionova - coordinator of the educational sub-cluster "South";

Dmytro Bondarenko - Deputy Chairman of the Association of Innovative and Digital Education;

Nataliya Pidgurska - project coordinator in Odesa and Kherson regions.
What's next?

Until the end of the academic year, the implementation of the project will continue in terms of the creation of Digital Education Centers in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. Through the system with 46 DLCs, educational services will reach 40,000+ students, including IDP children, students without access to offline learning and children with disabilities.
